ZX3 Consulting recently opened in Victoria.

Among other things, the business offers analysis on various projects, helps clients spend capital in ways that help the business and assists them in strategic decisions, owner Joshua Zeller said.

"A consultant can serve in many functions," he said. "I do a lot of helping businesses become more efficient, especially in this environment."

Business owners often need more than a consultant, Zeller said, explaining that attorneys, real estate agents and the like come in to play. He said he hopes to develop a network of people who can help his clients.

Zeller earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and master's degree in business administration from the University of Houston-Victoria and worked for UHV's Small Business Development Center for three years.

He works from a home office, but typically meets with clients at their offices.

Zeller said he's looking forward to his new opportunities in Victoria.

"It's something I've done before," he said. "I have experience. But it's exciting being able to do this on my own ... where I can help people."
