Del Papa Distributing Company requests help from Crossroads residents as it prepares for its 100th anniversary in 2010.
The company, which is the local distributor for Budweiser , began a historical research campaign and is looking for photos of past events, milestones or other occasions involving the company, according to a Del Papa news release.
Del Papa will honor its anniversary with a year-long schedule of events, promotions, parties and donations. Part of that celebration includes the historical campaign, which ties the history of the company to that of the Crossroads.
Research has unearthed interesting information about the company's history, and there's no telling what else is out there, Larry Del Papa, the company's president and CEO, said in the release.
"We look forward to seeing what photos turn up and utilizing them in our anniversary celebration," he said.
E-mail photos to Matthew Sweatt at matthew.sweatt@delpapabud.com or mail them to Allen Shertz at 3907 E. Rio Grande St., Victoria, TX 77901. If photos must be scanned in, take them to Shertz at the South Distribution Center on Rio Grande Street.
Original copies will be treated with care and returned to owners.
