GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — A North Carolina business school is giving female entrepreneurs an extra boost of knowledge about how to run their companies.

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro's Bryan business school is holding a program Saturday to help women strengthen their companies.

Organizer and business school lecturer Channelle James says the program aims to help women new to running a small business.

The conference offers workshops on how to create a cash flow statement and build a strong marketing strategy as well as the tax implications of starting a new business.

The conference also will encourage high school girls to become young moguls. They'll participate in workshops on product development and financial literacy and pitch their product in a hurry.
