BLOOMINGTON - The Refugio Bobcats scored 35 points in the first quarter in a 49-3 District 30-2A win over Bloomington.

Refugio quarterback Kyle Hendley threw three touchdowns in that first quarter, connecting for strikes of 40, 19 and 27 yards. Hendley finished with three completions, all touchdowns, for 86 yards.

The Bobcats' Jourdon Ortiz scored on a 65-yard interception return. Refugio improves to 10-0 overall, 5-0 in the district.

Ryan De Los Santos ran for 37 yards, passed for 77 and caught one pass for 17 yards for Bloomington.

Bloomington falls to 1-9 and 0-5.
