SHINER - The Shiner Comanches rolled to a 43-6 District 27-1A win over Burton on Friday night, avenging last year's loss and giving them the outright district championship.

Six players scored touchdowns for Shiner as both the defense and offense contributed scores.

Tyler Forest caught a 13-yard pass from Drew Stafford. Joey Gamez scored on a 27-yard interception return. Stafford scored on a 19-yard run. Josh Greathouse had a 13-yard run. Curtis Shields added an 11-yard run. And Marlon Wallace finished the scoring with a 15-yard run.

The Shiner offense tallied an impressive 385 yards rushing.

The Comanches finished the regular season with a 9-1 overall record, 5-0 in district.
