First job: I was a band director in East Bernard. I taught a 37-piece band that consisted of students from grades 3 through 12.
What it taught me: I learned how to treat kids. It's not just about winning. It's about doing the best you can. They were good kids who worked hard and I never had any discipline problems.

First Guitar: I purchased a $55 electric Key guitar in around 1965 from Navratil Music on Rio Grande. I'm still trying to learn how to play it ... and I bet Mr Navratil could still show me how!
