YORKTOWN - Woodsboro (6-4, 4-1) stopped Yorktown (8-2, 3-2) 43-25 in a battle for second place in the district.
The game was close through the third quarter, but Woodsboro scored the final 15 points to pull away.
It was a game of contrasts with Woodsboro dominating on the ground, piling up 578 rushing yards. Yorktown filled the air with 312 yards passing.
Woodsboro's leading rusher, Ronnie Martinez, scored on touchdown runs of seven yards, 12 yards, 44 yards, 94 yards and 44 yards.
Both teams were awaiting results of the Runge-Falls City game to clarify the playoff picture.
