Air Force Airman Michael A. Garza graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. He is the son of Brenda Garza of Bloomington, and Michael Garza of Port Lavaca. The airman is a 2009 graduate of Bloomington High School.

Army Reserve Pvt. Gabriel D. Nava has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. He is the son of Loretta Ramos of Victoria. Nava is a 2009 graduate of Memorial High School.
