Dinner and a movie might be the standard for Saturday night dates, but the historic Shiner Gaslight Theatre will do you one better. This weekend they're offering dinner and a live show.
Today, Saturday and Sunday, the theatre is presenting Ivan Menchell's comedy "The Cemetery Club," complete with a full meal, according to a news release.
The play focuses on the story of three widows and friends who meet once a month to pay their respects to their deceased husbands. Each one is in a different stage of her grief and trying to move on with her life.
The production is one of three that the dinner theater puts on every year.
"The Cemetery Club" begins at 8 tonight and Saturday with dinner beginning at 7. The Sunday matinee begins at 2 p.m. with the meal starting at 1 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person and are available by calling 361-594-2079.
