Grant applications are being accepted for the Community Development Block Grant Home Rehabilitation Program in Victoria.
Program funds are available for 10 homes in the King/Oliver target neighborhood and two other homes in the city limits, but outside of the King/Oliver neighborhood.
Applications are being accepted weekdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Nov. 16 through Dec. 1 at the city of Victoria Development Services office. It is at 700 Main Center in Suite 115.
To qualify for assistance:
Recipients must own and occupy the single-family dwelling as their principal home and have not previously received assistance.
Household income must be less than 80 percent of the city's median family income. For example, that would be $42,950 for a family of four.
All past and current property taxes must be paid.
The structure cannot be a manufactured or mobile home.
Homes cannot be located in the 100-year floodplain or floodway.
