Victoria's Fairfield Inn by Marriott is helping bring people together for the holidays.

Through its "Room in the Inn" program, the company offers free rooms on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve to those visiting to see loved ones in hospitals, nursing homes or treatment centers.

Tharaldson Lodging Company, which operates Fairfield Inn by Marriott, began the program in 1988.

The company realizes the financial stresses that go along with having family in care facilities, according to a Fairfield Inn news release, and wants to make it easier on families during the holiday season.

Fairfield Inn by Marriott operates more than 200 hotels in 30 states.
