Two Hermann Sons fraternal insurance agents representing the Victoria Area have been recognized as top producers for the third quarter of 2009. The Marketing Department of the Grand Lodge, Order of the Sons of Hermann in State of Texas has announced that Marjorie Matula finished the quarter in first place in Region 4 in the applications written category and in second place in the region in the new premium income category, and that John Langhoff finished the quarter in third place in Region 4 in the new premium income category. Matula is a member of Da Costa Hermann Sons Lodge No. 265. Langhoff is a member of Hochheim Prairie Hermann Sons Lodge No. 90.

Fred Kubesch, producer with Swantner and Gordon Insurance recently, completed a rigorous insurance education program by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors. The designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) was conferred upon Kubesch in an official ceremony in Dallas. Kubesch has over 30 years of insurance experience.

Veronica Baladez recently was hired as the senior secretary in the Letting Education Achieve Dreams initiative at the University of Houston-Victoria. Her duties include assisting in the day-to-day operations of the office.
