During these economics times, I want to thank Sears Roebuck & Co. for bringing back the layaway. It is a very great help during the holiday season.

Do you think that the government has the right to close down places of worship? If they are breaking the law, yes, they should.
Debbie, Port Lavaca
The government does not have the right to close down places of worship. They should actually let us worship the God that we want to worship. To me, the Heavenly Father is all that I have, plus my daughter. She has actually helped me so much. My answer is no, they do not.

I am calling about today's poll, concerning, "Do you think that the government has the right to close down places of worship?" I would like to say that I emphatically do not believe that they have a right to close down places of worship.

I don't agree with your article in Friday's paper about VISD looks good.

I think that it is bad from the bottom up.

Do you think the government has the right to close down places of worship? I think it most certainly does have a right to close them down. If they are not complying and doing things that are not right, I think they do have a right to close them down.

I grew up in Cuero, and I think that the vandalism that took place and the destruction at the park should be treated as a hate crime. And if and when they find out who did it, they need to also bring lawsuits against their family.
Marie, Victoria
Yes, I think that the Christmas light vandalism should be considered a hate crime, because Christmas is for Jesus.
