Class 4A, Division II Area
</b>Houston Yates Lions at El Campo Ricebirds </b>Time: 7:30 p.m.
Notes: El Campo (8-2) is coming off a 38-10 bi-district win over Santa Fe, and Yates (10-1) captured a 31-3 win over Houston Washington. El Campo's win over Santa Fe was No. 600 in school history. El Campo and Yates have played each other the last three seasons. El Campo has won the previous three games, including a 28-6 win in last year's area playoffs. El Campo is attempting to advance to the regional playoffs for the second consecutive season. El Campo's Landon Appling has rushed for 1,200 yards and 17 touchdowns. The winner will advance to regional against the winner of Saturday's Waller-Dayton game.

</b>Calallen Wildcats vs. Medina Valley Panters</b>Time and location: Memorial Stadium, Victoria, 7:30 p.m.
Notes: Calallen is coming off a 22-18 bi-district win over Weslaco East, and Medina Valley captured a 56-12 win over Rockport-Fulton. Medina Valley is coached by former Stroman assistant Brian Emerson. Winner advances to regional against the winner of Friday's Pflugerville Hendrickson-Kerrville Tivy winner.
Class 3A, Division I Regional
</b>Cuero Gobblers vs. Sealy Tigers</b>Time and location: 7:30 p.m., Bobcat Stadium, San Marcos
Notes: Cuero (11-0) is coming off a 46-12 bi-district win over San Antonio Sam Houston, and Sealy (11-0) captured a 43-36 win over Needville. Cuero and Sealy met in last year's regional playoffs and Cuero won 56-24. Cuero's win last season broke a string of three consecutive playoff losses to Sealy. Sealy's Dexter Downey scored two touchdowns against Needville, including the game-winner on a 74-yard run with 56 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Cuero's Tyler Arndt has passed for 1,719 yards and 21 touchdowns, and Trent Jackson has rushed for 1,940 yards and 25 touchdowns. The winner advances to the quarterfinals against the winner of Friday's Bandera-Ingleside game.

Class 2A, Division II Area
</b>Refugio Bobcats vs. Dilley Wolves</b>Time and location: 7:30 p.m., Gustafson Stadium, San Antonio
Notes: Refugio (11-0) is coming off a 69-20 bi-district win over Boling, and Dilley (6-4) captured a 14-10 win over Hebbronville. Refugio and Dilley meet in the area playoffs for the third straight season. Refugio won 28-7 in 2007 and 44-14 last season. Refugio's Terrence Smith, Draigon Silvas and Charlie Henderson have combined to rush for 1,619 yards and 26 touchdowns, Kyle Hendley has passed for 1,687 yards and 16 touchdowns, and Jourdan Ortiz has 49 receptions for 957 yards and six touchdowns. The winner advances to regional against the winner of Friday's Rice Consolidated-Harper winner.

</b>Industrial Cobras vs. Three Rivers Bulldogs</b>Time and location: 7:30 p.m., Matador Stadium, Seguin
Notes: Industrial (10-1) is coming off a 20-7 bi-district win over Odem, and Three Rivers (9-2) captured a 14-7 win over Riviera. Industrial and Three Rivers met in last year's area playoffs and Industrial won 36-6. Industrial has yielded two touchdowns or less in nine of its 11 games. Industrial's Blaine Rozner has rushed for 1,026 yards and 11 touchdowns, and Austin Smalley has rushed for 843 yards and eight touchdowns. The winner will advance to regional against the winner of Friday night's Blanco-Rogers game.
</b>Rice Consolidated Raiders vs. Harper Longhorns</b>Time and location: 7:30 p.m., Shelton Stadium, Buda
Notes: Rice Consolidated (9-1) is coming off a 21-11 bi-district win over Lexington, and Harper (8-3) captured a 56-40 win over Poth. Rice Consolidated has advanced to the semifinals the last two seasons. Rice Consolidated has won eight straight games since losing to Class 3A Sealy. Rice Consolidated has allowed two touchdowns or less in eight of its 10 games. Rice Consolidated's Myles Dumont has passed for 1,582 yards and 14 touchdowns, and Mario Hull has 50 catches for 1,073 yards and 11 touchdowns. Hull returned a kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown in last week's win over Lexington. Winner advances to regional against the winner of Friday's Refugio-Dilley game.
Class 1A, Division I Regional
</b>Shiner Comanches vs. Goldthwaite Eagles</b>Time and location: 7:30 p.m., Elgin
Notes: Shiner (9-1) had a bi-district bye, and Goldthwaite (11-0) captured a 34-21 win over Thorndale. Shiner and Goldthwaite met in last year's regional playoffs and Shiner won 33-7. Shiner and Goldthwaite each won state championships as Class 2A schools. Shiner also won the Class 1A state title in 2004. Shiner's Curtis Shields has rushed for 846 yards and 12 touchdowns, Josh Greathouse has rushed for 804 yards and 12 touchdowns, and Drew Stafford has rushed for 609 yards and 10 touchdowns. The winner advances to the quarterfinals against the winner of Saturday's Yorktown-Junction game.

</b>Shiner St. Paul Cardinals vs. Frisco Legacy Christian Eagles</b>Time and location: 7:30 p.m., Florence
Notes: St. Paul (9-2) is coming off a 49-13 bi-district win over The Woodlands Christian, and Frisco Legacy Christian (7-3) captured a 47-28 win over Fort Worth Lake Country Christian. St. Paul and Legacy Christian met in last year's regional playoffs and Legacy Christian won 14-13. St. Paul's Adam Hollenbach has rushed for 1,584 yards and 27 touchdowns, and Brandon Sciba has rushed for 766 yards and six touchdowns. The winner advances to the semifinals against the winner of Saturday's Amarillo Arbor Christian-Katy Faith West game.
</b>Hallettsville Sacred Heart Indians vs. Richardson Canyon Creek Christian Cougars</b>Time and location: 7:30 p.m., Waco Reicher
Notes: Sacred Heart (7-5) is coming off a 47-0 bi-district win over Lake Jackson Brazosport Christian, and Canyon Creek (10-0) won by forfeit over Watauga Harvest Christian. Sacred Heart and Canyon Creek met in last year's regional playoffs and Canyon Creek won 55-12. Sacred Heart's Trentin Pilat has rushed for 1,906 yards and 27 touchdowns. Pilat returned a punt 65 yards for a touchdown against Brazosport Christian. The winner advances to the semifinals against the winner of Friday's Bryan Brazos Christian-Muenster Sacred Heart game.
