HALLETTSVILLE - St. Nicholas Ministry is accepting referrals of needy people and families to receive food and gifts during the holiday season.

The ministry provides gifts of food, blankets, Bibles, toys for children and personal items.

Last year, 180 families were helped.

Priority is given first to children aged infants to 13 years of age, then to the elderly and finally to families in need.

People must be referred by LAMB, pastors, church leaders, schools agencies and other legitimate sources.

Referral forms must be completed and returned to St. Nicholas Ministry, P.O. Box 913, Hallettsville, TX 77963, by Monday.

Help is also needed with the wrapping of gifts and sorting food into boxes at the Lillie Appelt Johnson Youth Center in Hallettsville during the week of Dec. 7-11, and with the distribution from 8 a.m.-noon on Dec. 12.
