Mayor Will Armstrong has canceled Saturday's special city council meeting.
The city council was to discuss purchase of the proposed land the city is interested in for a new sewer plant.
Saturday's meeting was not convenient for some of the council members, Armstrong said.
The mayor wants all council members to be present, he said.
The council will still have its regular council meeting Dec. 1 to discuss the proposed land purchase. The council will conduct a public hearing at the meeting to get input from area residents and to explain the project in more detail.

So say in a week or so if/when the city votes down the proposal again, will the land owners get another $10k from the mayor?

November 21, 2009 at 4:12 p.m.I Have a feeling that the meeting was cancelled because the owner of the land has been passified with $10,000 so the deal is still on the table..
