Victoria businesswoman and Stampin' Up! demonstrator Judy Garza, was recently invited to attend the company's annual Founder's Circle weekend retreat. The company manufactures rubber stamps and accessories for paper crafting, scrapbooking and home decor.
Maggie Valderrama, of Cypress Beauty Salon, will retire close the salon on Dec. 31. She has styled hair for 41 years. She and her husband, Nazario Valderrama, are co-owners of the Cypress Beauty Saloon, which has been in business for 38 years.
Jeff Lyon, of Gap Broadcasting-Victoria, was recently elected as a director to the Victoria Economic Development Corp. board. Re-elected were Elton Calhoun, Regional Steel and Dennis Patillo, Stewart Title of the Coastal Bend, Inc. All will serve four-year terms. W. Lee Keeling, outgoing past chairman, was recognized for his dedicated service to the corporation. William R. Blanchard, CEO of DeTar Healthcare System, is the outgoing chairman of the board and, Donald Day, president of Texas Glass and Tinting is the incoming board chairman. They were recently recognized at a VEDC meeting.
