The 16th annual Art Show and Sale at Arts Etc in the Victoria Mall will feature two special guests on Saturday.

Texas artists Dalhart Windberg and Kyle Polzin will be on hand at the annual event to sign their prints.

The main subject of the showing will be Windberg's latest painting, according to a news release. The large 5-foot by 8-foot painting, titled "Revered Contemporaries," is of the Teton mountain range as seen from Jackson Hole, Wy.

"I found this scene on a workshop I was teaching in Wyoming, and when I got back to my studio, I decided that the 5-foot by 8-foot size would be the only way to try to capture the majesty and scope of the scene," Windberg said in the news release. "Of course, we will have to reduce it in size as a reproduction, but using the digital process we use to print these days. I'm sure the feeling will still come through."

Smaller prints of the original painting will be for sale at the event, according to the news release. The original painting is priced at $250,000.

Born in 1933, Windberg lives and works in Georgetown, where his gallery, Windberg Gallery, is also located. To date, he has more than 240 prints to his credit and is still creating more, according to his Web site, www.Windberg.com.

Influenced by the Dutch and Flemish master artists, his works range from landscapes to still-lifes to character studies.

Polzin was born in Cuero and moved to Victoria shortly after his birth, according to his biography. He studied under Larry Shook in 1992 at The Victoria College and by 1996, Polzin was taking instructional sessions with Windberg.

Polzin has just added another sold out, one-man show to his credit, according to the news release.
