Billy Sippel scored 18 points and Hayden Otwell had 16 to lead the Goliad Tigers to a 53-38 win over St. Joseph Flyers in the season opener for both teams on Monday night at the St. Joseph gym.

Faith Academy wins

Derek Staudenmier scored 30 points, Xavier Sledge had 14 and Will Reeder added 11 to lead Faith Academy to an 84-80 win over Flatonia.
