1. Cuero's Christmas in the Park
Open from 6-10 p.m. nightly now through New Year's Day. To get to the display, from U.S. Highway 87, turn onto Fain McDougal Drive and follow the nutcracker cutouts. The event is free, but free will donations are accepted.
2.Conspirare "Christmas at the Carillon" Concert
On Dec. 3, Grammy-nominated choral ensemble Conspirare will perform music celebrating the joy and mystery of the season at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows, 208 W. River St. Special guest artist will be Texas Music Hall of Fame inductee Patrice Pike. Tickets: $40 adults; $30 seniors; $20 students. 3. Victoria Civic Chorus concert of Handel's Messiah
The Victoria Civic Chorus and Victoria College Choir will perform Handel's Messiah at 3 p.m. Dec. 6. The performance will be at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Admission is $5 and tickets may be purchased from any chorus member, the office at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church or at the door.
4. Gonzales Winterfest Lighted Christmas Parade
Lighted floats, cars, bicycles, walkers and Santa will be arriving downtown starting at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4. After the parade, gather around the Christmas tree to officially turn on the Christmas lights in downtown Gonzales. Admission is free.
5. Museum of the Coastal Bend's Holiday Artisan Market
Get a jump start on holiday shopping at the Museum of the Coastal Bend's annual Holiday Artisan Market from 4-7 p.m. Dec. 2 at the museum. For more information, call 361-582-2511.
6. Christmas in Goliad
On Dec. 4-5, the 26th annual Christmas in Goliad will take place on the Courthouse Square in Goliad, which includes a lighted parade, vendors, juried arts and crafts fair and a visit by Santa. Admission is free.
7. Victoria's Annual Holiday Lighted Parade
On Dec. 5, starting at 6 p.m., the annual Holiday Lighted Parade will be at the Victoria Community Center, 2905 E. North St. The parade route will start at Raab Avenue and East North Street and continue onto North Ben Wilson Street and end at the Victoria Skate Park entrance. Admission is free.
8. Northside Baptist Church Christmas Pageant
Northside Baptist Church will celebrate 25 years of its annual Christmas Pageant this year. Tickets are already on sale. The pageant will run Dec. 7 through Dec. 13, with performances at 6:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. For more information or to obtain tickets, contact Northside Baptist Church at 361-578-1568.
9. Victoria Ballet Theatre's "The Nutcracker"
From Dec. 10 through Dec. 13 will be Victoria Ballet Theatre's annual production of "The Nutcracker" at the Leo J. Welder Center. Tickets are $20-$25. For tickets and more information, call 361-580-8587 or go to www.victoriaballet.org.
10. Faith Family Church's Scrooge Christmas Musical
Faith Family Church will present "Scrooge the Musical" on Dec. 12-13 at the church. Tickets are not required and childcare is provided. Productions are at 7 p.m., Dec. 12, and at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 13. For more information, go to www.faithfamilyvictoria.com.
11. Victoria's Christmas in the Park
From 6-9 p.m. Dec. 12 the Victoria Parks and Recreation Department is staging Christmas in the Park at Riverside Park. Hayrides, hot chocolate, Santa and more. For more information, call 361-485-3200.
12. DeLeon Club/Chamber 43rd Annual Christmas Dance
From 8 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Dec. 19, the DeLeon Club will hold its annual Christmas Dance at the Victoria Community Center. Music will be by Ruben Ramos and Latin Breed. For reservations, call Mike Rivera at 361-573-4079. Tickets are $25 per person and $50 per couple.
