Sylvia and Theo Kocian of Victoria celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Saturday, October 3, 2009, at Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Christian Center. A dinner and dance was hosted by their children.

Sylvia Gajer and Theo Kocian were married October 10, 1949, at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Hallettsville. They have 3 children; Theo Jr. (Gail) Kocian, Gary (Kelly) Kocian, and Sandra (Wesley J.) Schmidt. Sylvia and Theo have 5 grandchildren; Calvin, Kelsey, and Kevin Schmidt, Travis and Kimberly Kocian.
