Jennifer Gaines Thompson of Cypress and Jordon Alois Kalina of Houston were married October 3, 2009, at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Houston. Father Art Alban officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Tim and Mickey Klapuch of Cypress, and the late Theo Thompson II. She is the granddaughter of Bob and Mary Lou Gaines of Victoria, Dorothy Klapuch of Gonzales, the late Barbara "Mimi" Gaines, Doris Thompson Kingsbery, and Theo Thompson.

The groom is the son of Carole and Francis Kalina of Del Valle. He is the grandson of Dixie Boone of Austin, the late Alois and Lillie Kalina, and James Boone.

Rachel Martin attended as matron of honor. Margaret Hvizdos attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Floyd, Brooke Fontenot, Katy Klapuch, stepsister of the bride, and Anna Thompson, sister-in-law of the bride.

Amara Cannaday attended as flower girl. Gavin Cannaday served as ring bearer.

Aaron Kalina, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Brian Cannaday, David Laws, Vince Price, Tommy Thompson, brother of the bride, and Derek Vermillion.

Ushers were Clay Kowalski, Larry Stokes, and Stephen Supak.

A reception was held following the ceremony at Northwest Forest Conference Center in Houston. Following wedding travel to St. Lucia in the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Houston.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Cy-Fair High School in Cypress, and a 2007 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is employed by Triangle Fastener Corporation in Houston in Inside Sales.

The groom is a 2000 graduate of Del Valle High School in Del Valle, and a 2004 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in sports management. He is employed by Whataburger Corporation as Human Resources Coordinator.
