Another Wednesday rolls in, but it's exciting times.

This time of year in this part of the country means a small-town festival almost every weekend.

We've already rolled past the Kolache Fest in Hallettsville and Come and Take It in Gonzales. This weekend is Turkeyfest in Cuero followed by Yorktown's Western Days Ziegfest.

Our question of the day today deals with these festivals. Which, of those I've named or others, is your favorite? Why? What makes it special?

I'll be at B&D Cafe until 9:30 this morning. Later today, about 2 p.m., I'll be at the Cuero Chamber of Commerce talking turkey.
