Jeannette and Melvin Fudge III of Denton and Deborah and Raymond Simmons Jr. of Houston are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Shamara Kayshan Simmons of Denton, to Olen Gamar Girdy of Denton, son of Glenda Girdy and Glover Girdy of Victoria.
The couple will marry at 3 p.m. on October 24, 2009, at St. Andrew Church of God In Christ in Denton.
Shamara is a 2001 graduate of Profit Academic Center for Success in Victoria. She is employed by First Convenience Bank as an Assistant Branch Manager.
Olen is a 2000 graduate of Victoria High School in Victoria and attended Victoria College where he pursued a degree in welding. He is employed by Flower's Bakery Plant in Denton.
