I'm sorry if I'm offensive, I really am; but Meth addicts really need help getting off of the stuff. I'm just advocating that positive enforcement must be inline with negative reenforcement.
Most of the drug is being brought in from Mexico, something like 90%. Ironically, by cartels like La Familia; which were originally formed to control and eliminate meth from areas of it's influence.
Then members of La Familia's current leadership began exploiting this drug for profit.
No one has any business dealing or using Meth in the crossroads region, it turns the people aka "La Raza" into slaves.
Those who are turning their own people into slaves through meth, are traitors to their people and enemies of freedom.
I believe in freedom, more than I can express, but ask someone who has become addicted to meth. Do they have the freedom to quit, no.
Meth, takes away their life, liberty, and genuine pursuit of happiness. My reaction, is to a drug that threatens to undermine peoples ability to decide for themselves, by making slaves of their minds.
Another drug comes to mind that many know to be the standard in ensalvement, heroine.
October 16, 2009 at 2:40 p.m.Exresident, I think people should have freedom just as much as the next guy, but come on I have two kids and I don’t want meth grandpa living even in a 50 miles radius of me and my family. There is a big difference between smoking meth and making meth smoking ok that’s killing him and just him but when he’s cooking it that means he has plans on selling the meth which, there lays the problem.
October 16, 2009 at 2:40 p.m.I really hate methamphetamines. A program should be created, offering free counseling and monitoring to meth addicts.
Family and friends should be allowed to submit names of potential applicants. These people would then be contacted and placed on a list of Meth users to be monitored by police, as a deterent.
If officers are driving by and stopping by to check on the well being of the addict, then it may discourage dealers from supplying them. Dealers hate being watched or having people bring the police to their house because their customers are being watched.
Maybe the city or state could pass a law requireing the names of everyone, admitted to the hospital or arrested for meth charges be placed on a meth watchdog list. Random visits to their homes, work or being pulled over for a year after notice.
I'm sure this pisses off alot of people, perhaps many that I know, but deal with it!
I really hate the fact that meth is being distributed in the cross roads region, and if it were up to me I'd have their hands burned with an "M"; to get the message.
