  • Thank you Mr. Clglehart for your response and the people of Calhoun County do appreciate the coverage that the Victoria Advocate gives the Sandcrabs when it can. For the most the coverage has been good for the past 4 years or so.
Now as for your consensus of all of you thinking The Sandcrabs would win, I thank you, but, considering the Sandcrabs lost two games this year to two teams that they should have or could have beaten and taken into fact that Gregory Portland was ranked higher than us and were also not beaten in district, for that, then I would have to question your consensus. Thank You.

  • In response to the question posed by RL Wood, the criteria we use for our weekly picks is simple. We choose the Vipers and St. Joseph every week because they are the only teams based in Victoria that play football. The other picks are chosen based on what we see as how competitive the game will be. Calhoun wasn't chosen this week because our consensus was the Sandcrabs were going to win that game. It wasn't a slight, it was a vote of confidence for Coach Whitaker and his program.
As for photo selection, we choose the best photo we have based on clarity, action and composition. We won't run a picture showing somebody scoring just because it was a scoring play.
Thanks for your interest and Go Sandcrabs!

  • Just a QUESTION and Comments to the Victoria Advocate Newspaper in Victoria Texas.

Why did the Advocates (Staff) not have the Sandcrabs game in their Picks in the Friday morning paper? You can make room in your paper to pick all area Schools. Try it!!!!!!!!!!

Good article for the Sandcrabs today, Victoria Sports writers, Good Job, Now, you could have showed the picture of the next play when he scored.

Another big game next week for the Sandcrabs, Beeville, We have to win at their home now, then Miller at home. Sandcrabs, you do not win an outright district title until you have beat all teams in your district.

Now look here Sandcrab Fans, You need to pick it up alot more in the stands, you expect your players to play the whole game all the way through, now, you stand up and do more in the stands the whole game. Cuero Fans still do a better job than you, Pick it up for your team if you want them to win.

Sandcrabs Job well done, Do Not Let Up.

P.S. Appreciate the good articles in the
Corpus Christi Caller on the Sandcrab
    Games.
