Mr. and Mrs. William Hahn Jr. of Port Lavaca and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Kern of Victoria are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Larena Lois Hahn and Kyle Dean Kern.

The couple will marry at 3 p.m. on December 19, 2009 at Salem Lutheran Church.

Larena is a 1997 graduate of Calhoun High School in Port Lavaca and a 2001 graduate of the University of Houston-Victoria with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She is employed as a kindergarten/first grade teacher at Seadrift School.

Kyle is a 1993 graduate of Stroman High School in Victoria and attended the University of Houston and the Victoria College. He is employed by Victoria Foundation Company.
