Rebekah Rollins, Victoria, nurse
"They've got them fenced in. I don't know what it is, but they turn loose at night."

My beloved mother-in-law was bitten by a stray dog while she was taking her daily constitutional. She had to take a series of rabies shots. I myself have been chased by stray dogs on several occasions on foot and on bike.
I can assure you that if Fido crosses my path baring his teeth, you're gonna need a shovel and a hole.
October 24, 2009 at 2:16 a.m.A little antifreeze on in a bowl in the front yard goes a long way with controling stray animals. Just saying...
October 23, 2009 at 8:07 a.m.No driver is ever responsible for hitting an animal on the road. The road was put there for the vehicles, not the animals. And, the pet owner could be responsible for doing damage to a vehicle.
October 23, 2009 at 8 a.m.I'm a cat owner. I'm a responsible cat owner. We have covered pens for our cats at night and when we aren't home. I let them out during the day, when I'm home to watch them. They are all spayed or neutered, so they do not wander off of my property. At anytime of the day, I can go outside and they are there.
We have neighbors that had dogs running loose, until very recently. Those dogs were a nightmare. Up to 8 large dogs running loose....and we have 14 cats, many of them came from the neighbors house when they started getting the dogs. Neighbors would leave for days and just leave those dogs out. It took a threat to get them to put up a fence. Some grown adults need to have their hindends spanked for their stupidity.
The cats help keep the mouse and rat population down and the dogs destroy things. I still agree with icantcook!
October 23, 2009 at 7:14 a.m.My mother was attached by Pit Bulls several years ago and ended up with a week long hospital stay. I was under the impression that Victoria passed a law making it illegal to have these dogs. Also I had a dog that bit my son and when I took him to the emergency room they told my I had to have a $100,000 liabilty insurance policy if I wanted to keep my dog. Why is this no longer being enforce.
October 23, 2009 at 6:12 a.m.And FYI, responsible pet owners Neuter and Spay so that millions of unwanted kittens and puppis dont show up at all..........I as a single mom spayed and neutered all 6 of my pets and they all have shots and license. whats hard about that?
October 22, 2009 at 9:53 p.m.Cat owners are typically an irresponsible bunch.
Lets watch out tongue. Please explain the irresponsible party of a pit bull coming on my property and shredding MY cat to death, my cat being cat #7 in my community killed by this dog coming on individual property where he had no belonging.l
October 22, 2009 at 9:51 p.m.I've yet seen a report that a cat mauled anyone. Keep a cat contained in the backyard? Ohh, that's good.
October 22, 2009 at 8:58 p.m.No dogs, just stinking cats! Cats everywhere. Usually at least 3, but sometimes up to 15! On the porch, on the car, on the driveway, in the yard, on the roof, and in the garage if open. Cat owners should have to pay huge city fees, I have to buy tags, and keep my dog fenced.
October 22, 2009 at 8:05 p.m.We used to have a loose pit bull from a neighboring business. He would get out at night and eat our cats..............He all of the sudden dissappeared!
