Early voting in person for Tuesday's constitutional amendment election ends Friday.

The elections office at 111 N. Glass St. in downtown Victoria will have extended hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

Requests for applications to vote by mail are no longer being received. All mail ballots must be returned by mail or common or contract carrier by 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Polls across the county will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Elections Administrator George Matthews reported that 290 people voted in person for this election by the end of Wednesday. Another 721 mail ballots had been returned.
