On Oct. 6, federal Judge David Carter, in Santa Anna, Calif., set a date of Jan. 26, 2010, to demand that Obama release his birth certificate and other records hidden from the people. He said that Obama must prove his eligibility to the courts, so Americans can know the truth about their president. Since you, Esther de los Santos, have all of the facts, you would be invaluable on Obama's defense team.

Esther de los Santos of Cuero, you couldn't have said it better. I have come to realize since moving into this area that there are a lot of people speaking in ignorance, and that is their prerogative. Most are still upset that he was elected president. But all that I can say is tough luck, and deal with it.

Is anyone else as frustrated and sick of Sudden Link commercials as I am? Please, enough already! To Kim of Victoria: You must work for Sudden Link.

I want to give a shout out and a thanks to the waitresses at Ramsey's Cafe for their kindness and smiles. They start the day out with a lot of old buffalos who don't get much kindness. The only smile that they get all day is when they come into Ramsey's, so thank you.

If I had a cannon, I would use it on something worthwhile instead of wasting good food that many hungry people need to eat.

Ray, El Campo

I think shooting vegetables and fruit out of a cannon is ridiculous.

Those fruit and vegetables could be saved and used to feed somebody.

I am voting to have the Yoakum band featured in the Victoria Advocate next week.

Jane, Yoakum

We would like to have the Nordheim band as one of your entries.

Diana, Nordheim

I totally agree with B.J. from Yoakum. I just hope that somebody can clean that barnyard up very, very soon.
