If today's kids are lazy, disrespectful, unwilling, arrogant, uncooperative and void of ambition like we've been led to believe, then explain Jacob Nieto to me.
He is simply a young man who on Oct. 9 at 9 p.m., in a cold misting rain, was working outside at Target.
He found my wife's purse, which had two cell phones and my daughter's wallet in it.
With no thought of personal gain or reward, he turned it in.
I've since learned that this was not the first time that he had done this, but the fourth or fifth time.
Jacob is just one of the overwhelming majority of today's young people who are terrific kids.
He has proven that over and over. When I think of today's world being turned over to his generation, I feel extremely confident in the continued success and prosperity of the American way of life. Hard work - perseverance - honesty. Thank you, Jacob!
