My First Job
Name: Wayne Dierlam
Age: 67
City of residence: Victoria
Current title: Victoria County Commissioner
First job: My first paying job was working for the county in 1956 or 1957. They were rebuilding Henderson Road one summer and I drove the roller up and down. Sometimes I drove the water truck. Of course, before that job, I worked for my father.
What it taught me: I learned how to take orders and work for people. I've always felt that when you work for someone, you have to give a little more than you take.
