Dotado will play at the Goliad County Fairgrounds at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19.

A local band is finding success playing the music its members grew up on.
"That's the type of music I grew up listening to, accordion music," said Miguel Sanchez, lead singer for Dotado.
Sanchez's mother always had the radio tuned to something with an accordion, he said.
Dotado is finishing its first album, with a single that's gotten play on Victoria and Corpus Christi radio stations. The band, which has played together for about a year, also opened for Los Lonely Boys last month.
"We're getting really good play," said percussionist and singer Johnny Rodriguez. "So far, the response has been great."
Rodriguez describes the Dotado's sound as a bit of norteno and a bit of conjunto.
"We started mixing it all together and put our own spin on it," Rodriguez said.
Like Sanchez, Rodriguez grew up around music. When he was 5, his father and uncle taught him the drums, while they played in a band.
Dotado's accordion player, Frank Salazar, is 20 and began to play at least four years ago. Bass player Abraham Paredez and drummer Joseph Garcia round out the group.
"This has been a dream come true," Sanchez said. "To hear your song on the radio. None of this would be possible without all four of these guys."
