June Marie Cernosek and Lawrence Bryan Nelson, both of Victoria, were married July 18, 2009, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Victoria. Rev. Greg Korenek officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Alice June Cernosek of Flatonia. She is the granddaughter of the late Robert and Della Wehmeyer and the late Steve and Mary Cernosek.
The groom is the son of Bryan and Catherine Nelson of Victoria. He is the grandson of Helen Nelson of Houston and the late Ellis Nelson, and the late Lawrence and Margaret Cipriani.
Barbara Blevins, friend of the bride, attended as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Tricia Nelson, sister of the groom, and Vangie Kolesar, friend of the couple.
Mike Barbour, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jess Eaton and Donnie Kolesar, friends of the couple.
A reception was held following the ceremony at the Power Avenue Warehouse in Victoria. Following wedding travel to Branson, Mo. and Eureka Springs, Ark., the couple will reside in Victoria.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Flatonia High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Houston-Victoria with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. She is employed by UHV.
The groom is a 1996 graduate of St. Joseph High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Houston-Victoria with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He is employed by UHV.
