Brianna Lee Griffin and Joseph Ryan Masterson, both of Pearland, were married September 12, 2009, at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Houston. Father David Zapalac officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of John and Rhonda Griffin Sheffel and Stephen and Diane Griffin, all of Inez. She is the granddaughter of Otto Lee and Delores Koenning of Cuero, JoAnn Griffin and the late Lee Roy Griffin of Yorktown, and Victor and Joan Pawlik of Coldspring.
The groom is the son of Kevin and Cynthia Masterson of Conroe. He is the grandson of Vince and Phyllis Masterson of Conroe, and Phil and Carol Battaglia of Willis.
The bride wore a lovely strapless duchess satin gown with a sweetheart neckline. Swarovski crystals and rhinestones adorned the empire waist. The skirt and train were complete with box pleats and rouching; they were also accented by Swarovski crystals and rhinestones. She wore a matching two-tiered chapel veil. The gown and veil were Winnie Couture designs and hand-made especially for the bride.
Stephanie Charbula, sister of the bride, attended as matron of honor. Kaylyn Griffin, sister of the bride, attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kaylle Marthiljohni, sister of the bride, Krysta Chacon, Sara Dickson, Magidah Kobty, and Alicia Lloyd.
Chace Charbula, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.
Brian Masterson, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Cole Schrier, Brandon Spillers, Matthew Ewers, Luis Hernandez, and Mark Gorman.
Ushers were Michael Battaglia, uncle of the groom, and Craig Charbula, brother-in-law of the bride.
A reception was held following the ceremony at the Hilton Post Oak in Houston. Following wedding travel to Maui, Hawaii, the couple will reside in Pearland.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Memorial High School, a 2007 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelors degree in Health with a minor in chemistry and mathematics, and is a 2011 candidate for graduation with a Masters of Business Administration degree in Management. She is employed by The Methodist Hospital System in Houston as a Continuing Medical Education Coordinator.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of The Woodlands High School, a 2007 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelors degree in Health with a minor in business, and is a 2011 candidate for graduation with a Masters of Business Administration degree in Management. He is employed by The Methodist Hospital System in Houston as an Academic Administrator of Orthopedics.
