NIXON - Hallettsville Sacred Heart won its first game of the season in big fashion, beating Nixon-Smiley 28-7 on a night that saw Sacred Heart running back Trenton Pilat rush for more than 200 yards.
Pilat made every touchdown for Sacred Heart (1-3), scoring on runs of 5, 62, 12 and 25 yards. Pilat carried the ball 20 times for 210 yards, averaging more than 10 yards per carry.
Paul Saldana provided the only touchdown for Nixon-Smiley (0-4), scoring on a 12-yard run.
