A major influential figure in the Texas music scene, Robison is also known outside the Lone Star state for his skills as a songwriter, according to a symphony news release. Among the hits he has written are "Travelin' Soldier" by the Dixie Chicks, "Angry All The Time" by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and "Wrapped" by George Strait, all of which hit No. 1 on the country charts. Robison has been called "one of the best new breed singer-songwriters in Texas and beyond" by Billboard Magazine.

Opening for Robison are Victoria bands Coastal Bend and The Scott Taylor Band.

Advance tickets are $20 and available at the Victoria Symphony office, Cavender's, High Brehm, Four Seasons Garden Center, Foxcroft Stationers and Indianola Trading Company. Tickets are also available online at www.victoriasymphony.com. Tickets are $25 at the door.
