DES ARC, Ark. (AP) — Prairie County sheriff's deputies, the Arkansas State Police and Arkansas Highway Police are looking for an escapee in Prairie County.

The sheriff's department says in a press release that 26-year-old William Blackman escaped Wednesday while being taken by a private company from Houston to Columbia, Tenn.

Details of the escape were not released.

Authorities say Blackman was wearing a brown shirt and pants and blue slip-on shoes. He is not believed to be armed.

He was being held on felony parole violations and misdemeanor charges.
