Trends: Steers and heifers, steady/active.

Steers - (200-300) $95-$133; (300-400) $94-$126; (400-500) $86-$117; (500-600) $77-$100; (600-700) $75-$95; and (700-800) $70-$82.

Heifers - (200-300) $82-$117; (300-400) $77-$118; (400-500) $80-$127; (500-600) $75-$93; (600-700) $71-$89; and (700-800) $65-$81.

Slaughter cows: $30-$47; slaughter bulls, $40-$58; stocker cows, $50-$70; bred cows, $500-$700; pairs, $460-$900; horses, none.

Receipts: 934

Had 132 cows and bulls. The bull market was about steady. Packer cows were mixed. The better cows were about steady but the low yielding cutter cows were about $2 lower. Calves were mixed, but the 300-500 pound heifers were higher.

Packer bulls: Heavy weights, $48-$55; Packer cows: Boning cows, $44-$45.50, two individuals, $50.50; cutters mainly, $35.-$39; few, $40-$44; canners and low yielding cutters, $25-$33; weak canners, $20- $25, fat cows, one at $42.

Dry cows: $25-$46; young: $40-$59; palpated cows: $35-$80; cow and calf pairs: $390-$700.

Steer calves (under 200 lbs.) $108-$130; (200-250) $110-127; (250-300) $110-$136; (300-350) $110-$127; (350-400) $110-$132 (400-450) $104-$124 (450-500) $96-$108; (500-600) $85-$103.

Bull calves: (500-600) $76-$93; No. 2 (350-500), $70-$100.

Trend: Feeder steers and heifers were steady. Cows and bulls were steady to two dollars higher.

Heifers - (under 200) $96-$115; (200-300) $88-$107; (300-400) $90-$110; (400-500) $83-$98; (500-600) $80-$90; (over 600) $80-$84.

Slaughter cows - smooth fat, $41-$43; excessive fat, $38-$41; cutter, $43-$48; and canner, $24-$30.

Slaughter bulls - high dressing, $55-$60; low dressing, $50-$54; and replacement cows, $500-$680.

Compared to our last sale: Calves and yearlings sold steady to $2-$3 lower on heavier weights. Packer cows sold steady.

Stocker-feeder steers: Medium and large frame No. 1 (150-300) $122-$128; (300-400) $98-$121; (400-500) $95-$118; (500-600) $92-$96; (600-700) $88-$94;(700-800) $83-$88. Bull yearlings, (700-900) $74-$87.

Stocker-feeder heifers: Medium and large No. 1 (150-300) $105-$116; (300-400) $94-$97; (400-500) $87-$94; (500-600) $84-$92; and (600-700) $83-$85.

Packer cows - Good lean utility & commercial, $36-$41; cutters, $39-$47.5; canners, $26-$35; and low yielding fat cows, $38-$44.

Packer bulls - Yield grade 1 & 2, good heavy bulls, $55-$60.5; light weights and medium quality bulls, $52-$54. Stocker cows, $450-$675. Pairs, $550-$970.

Compared to last week better quality classes of calves 500 pounds and over sold $2-$5 lower. Lighter weights sold steady to $3 lower. Plainer classes were very hard to move. Packer cows and bulls sold steady to $1 higher on approximately 400 head total.

Packer cows -Higher dressing utility & cutter cows, $42-$50; lower dressing utility & cutter cows, $34-$42; light weight canner cows, $23-$34.

Packer bulls - Heavyweight bulls, $54-$58.5; utility & cutter bulls, $51-$54; light weight canner bulls, $46-$51.

Stocker and feeder calves and yearlings - No. 1 steer & bull calves, (150-200) $110-$155; (200-300) $100-$140; (300-400) $98-$135; (400-500) $94-$118; (500-600) $86-$101; (600-700) $82-$93.
