Receipts: 934

Had 132 cows and bulls. The bull market was about steady. Packer cows were mixed. The better cows were about steady but the low yielding cutter cows were about $2 lower. Calves were mixed, but the 300-500 pound heifers were higher.

Packer bulls: Heavy weights, $48-$55; Packer cows: Boning cows, $44-$45.50, two individuals, $50.50; cutters mainly, $35.-$39; few, $40-$44; canners and low yielding cutters, $25-$33; weak canners, $20- $25, fat cows, one at $42.

Dry cows: $25-$46; young: $40-$59; palpated cows: $35-$80; cow and calf pairs: $390-$700.

Steer calves (under 200 lbs.) $108-$130; (200-250) $110-127; (250-300) $110-$136; (300-350) $110-$127; (350-400) $110-$132 (400-450) $104-$124 (450-500) $96-$108; (500-600) $85-$103.

Compared to our last sale: Calves and yearlings sold steady to $2-$3 lower on heavier weights. Packer cows sold steady.

Compared to last week better quality classes of calves 500 pounds and over sold $2-$5 lower. Lighter weights sold steady to $3 lower. Plainer classes were very hard to move. Packer cows and bulls sold steady to $1 higher on approximately 400 head total.

Packer cows -Higher dressing utility & cutter cows, $42-$50; lower dressing utility & cutter cows, $34-$42; light weight canner cows, $23-$34.
