About 525 more students enrolled at University of Houston - Victoria this fall compared to the same time last year, according to preliminary numbers recently released.
The records show 3,698 students enrolled this year while 3,173 enrolled in fall 2008.
"We have experienced phenomenal growth during the last four years that any business would be thrilled to achieve," UHV President Tim Hudson said in a news release. "We're constantly changing to accommodate this growth, most recently with our preparations to add freshmen and sophomores in the fall of 2010."
Fall enrollment in 2005 was 2,491 students, according to the release. Enrollment increased to 2,652 in 2006 and to 2,784 in 2007.
Final enrollment figures for this semester will be released in mid-October after certification from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
