Robert and Gail Brinkley of Palacios are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Nichole Brinkley, of Victoria to James Scott Wakefield, son of Jack and Liz Freyer of Victoria and Bruce W. Wakefield of San Antonio.

The couple will exchange wedding vows on October 3, 2009 at the home of the groom's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Milton A. Killebrew.

Amy is a 2003 graduate of Palacios High School and is currently attending Victoria College pursuing a degree in Education.

James is a 2000 graduate of Victoria High School and after serving for eight years in the United States Coast Guard he is currently employed as an Electronics Tech for Baker Atlas, Inc. in Victoria.
