Dorothy Haning Wilkins and Ronald D. Bennett, both of Victoria, were married at 2 p.m. on August 1, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Chapel in Victoria. Pastor John Waak officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride was escorted by her grandson, Zachary Lofthouse (5) of San Antonio. Unity candles were lit by Tammy Lofthouse, daughter of the bride, and Donna Sievers, daughter of the groom.

A reception was held following the ceremony at Trinity Lutheran Chapel Parlour, followed by a dinner for friends and family at the home of Donna Sievers. Following their honeymoon to Banf, Canada, the couple will reside in Victoria.

The bride is a graduate of Refugio High School. She retired from Woolson Real Estate Rental Department, after 4 years. The groom is a graduate of El Campo High School. He retired from Dupont after thirty-four years of service as construction coordinator.
