CUERO - Long-time DeWitt County Judge Ben Prause announced Monday he plans to seek another term in office.

He plans to file for the Democratic Party nomination in the March primary.

Prause has served as county judge for 23 years. Prior to serving as judge, Prause was mayor of Cuero for 10 years. A life-long resident of DeWitt County, Prause is a Navy veteran of the Korean War.

Filing for the primary begins in December.
