April, you are just too funny! Love it!
Aprill, Great story - U out did urself!!! I too, enjoyed the conversation and the oppurtunity to meet you. -thanks for the nice words, "crazy" descriptives, and inspiration. I look forward to seeing you again, soon:)
Another good one, Aprill, although I must admit that I continue to find the importance of hair cuts mystifying. The only time I get stressed in a barber's chair is if it takes him more than 15 minutes, start to finish.
Being a man I don't know the full realm of what you women go through when it comes to hair styles but have some idea. With a mom, two older sisters (yeah, feel sorry for me!) three wives (not at the same time) and two daughters I've been around enough times when things didn't go quite right at the stylist, believe me, EVERYBODY suffers!!
As far as me, my wife cuts mine or at least what's left: #1 guard (I think, it's a 1/8") on the dog trimmer 10 minutes later I'm good for the next month and half.
It's good to be a man!!
Oh Aprill....you are so right on the money. I haven't had a decent haircut in 3 years! I stress out so much when it's cut time and then gripe for days whenever I look in the mirror.
It is Hair Dimensions and Stacy is awesome. She did my hair a week ago and I get so many compliments. Keep up the good work Stacy.
Thank you SO much for this article!! Only a WOMAN understands the importance of finding a good hairstylist..one that LISTENS and not just gives you what THEY want, but what YOU want..and more importantly what looks good on YOU! If you have ever gone and had a bad experience, it can be traumatizing, only to spend months trying to recover and grow out hair that wasn't meant to be cut! Not to mention a bad color experience...having your hair damaged to the extent that your only option is to cut it off! ARGH!!
Yes, Aprill is right...if you find YOUR hairstylist, it's like finding your soulmate! Going to have your hair done should be a relaxing experience...you should lay back in that shampoo bowl, and forget that the rest of the world exists, trust that you are in good hands and let them work their magic!
So now I'm wondering...where did Aprill go? Who is this mysterious Stacy? Where oh where can we find her? LOL! I want to experience that shampoo!! I'm thinking it must be Hair Dimensions? They are the only salon I can think of that offer wine? Anyone else have any ideas?
It's nice getting some funny articles every once in a while. Sure, I agree that some dramatic, real life, hardcore news is good and all (I make sure I'm caught up), but who doesn't want some laughs every once in a while? I come to Aprill to get my dose of humor.
Which, by the way, Aprill, THIS HAD ME CRACKING UP! I love it. It's nice to have some humor (and a great one at that!) around here.
Oh, and um............ as for those new bangs and haircut and all.... PICTURES OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!!!!
KEEP IT UP!
Wire, She's been here a while, you should know what to expect by now. If you don't like her articles, don't read them. Her job is to be the comic relief for a news paper filled with "bad news" about drugs and shooting and filled with even more "armchair reporters" who do nothing but whine and complain about every aspect of the town.
I, personally, enjoy your articles, Aprill. Keep it up, very amusing. :) I, too, have found my stylist. It's a very happy feeling :)
All I see is articles about April's personal life. Lets see some real stories. If I want to know about her life I will e-mail her or read her diary. The rates just went up on the paper print something that is news worthy.
I'm thinkin' this is one of those girl things. You mean you didn't discuss (or mostly cuss) the government, the Astros, the weather or how much gas costs?
Our favorite is 4 Seasons wine from California http://bit.ly/bA2MFV
