I'm wondering why the author isn't talking about how the pound knowingly let someone adopt a parvo infected animal. Or how if this one puppy had it then ALL the dogs at the pound could have it since they all mingle in the same yard. OR how the pound was so filthy that you could hardly stand to be back there from all the animal waste all over the floor. OR how they informed her that if she wanted her money back to bring in the puppy's dead body. See to me, THAT'S the story, not protecting your animal from parvo. Everyone already knows to do that. What they don't know is what's going on behind the face of the "animal saving" pound, and how it's not their responsibility to keep the animals healthy or inform the person spending 120 bucks on a mutt that they might be sick.
