A motorcyclist was injured in a Tuesday evening wreck on Rio Grande Street near Levi Street.

Around 5:08 p.m., Timothy Janysek, 42, was driving his pickup truck west on Rio Grande Street.

Officer Clay Fetters said the Victoria resident entered the left turn lane to turn.

However, when he turned, he hit a motorcyclist who was eastbound on Rio Grande Street.

Fetters said the motorcycle, which was driven by Nicolas Ruiz, went underneath the truck.

Emergency crews transported the 22-year-old Victoria resident to Citizens Medical Center.

The severity of Ruiz's injuries were unknown, but Fetters said he did notice the victim had some road rash.

Janysek was not ticketed, but Fetters said he was found at fault for failure to yield the right away when turning left.
