Fedorchak is out of touch with his employees. Why are people being fired or still leaving ? Because it is not a good place to work. The problem is a bunch of high school grads cannot make the money we make here anywhere else. We are afraid to report injuries because it will be held against us. And how come he did not touch on the releases we have had at DOW? Its not a pretty picture. The lucky one are the ones who got laid off or left. Dow has only shut down units 3, since they bought Carbide. There are NO plans for growth.

That's funny. I came to work this morning in a really good mood, happy to be here. Better, I'm not worried about losing my job.
I'm pretty confident, as are my colleagues, that we're not facing any cuts any time soon.

Union Carbide was a great company to work for but when Dow took over the employees became just a number. The morale is not any better there now than it was a year ago. Some people are still in fear for their jobs.
