One driver suffered minor injuries during a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Nursery Drive and Main Street on Thursday afternoon.

An 88-year-old man was responsible for a Thursday afternoon wreck at the intersection of Nursery Drive and Main Street, police said.

At 1:23 p.m., 88-year-old Yoakum resident Jack Kelley traveled west on Nursery Drive in his blue Dodge truck.

Officer Shane Wallace said Kelley attempted to cross Main Street onto Conti Lane.

That is when he collided with the car owned by Victoria resident Mabel Lemke, who traveled north on Main Street in her white Toyota Corolla.

Both Kelley and 76-year-old Lemke wore their seatbelts. Lemke suffered minor injuries.

Wallace said Kelley was ticketed after the wreck for failure to yield the right of way.
