NORDHEIM - An errant bottle rocket may have been the cause of a house fire about 10:52 p.m. Sunday, a law enforcement officials said.

Chief Deputy John Oglesby with the DeWitt County Sheriff's Office said he didn't know the extent of the damage, but the house at 105 Plum St. was abandoned.

He said there were no injuries reported. Several people were shooting bottle rockets in the area when one apparently went inside the house.
