Lady Flyers finish second at state tournament
After ending the first day tied with Midland Christian for first place, the St. Joseph girls golf team fell back, finishing second overall and six strokes back at the TAPPS state golf tournament at Clear Creek Golf Course in Fort Hood.
The Lady Flyers finished with a total team score of 768, led by Maddy Buhler with a two-day score of 176. Her score for the second day of 91 was an increase of six shots over her opening round 85.
